Internship programme at EMBO Press

EMBO Press offers the opportunity for a limited number of internships.

Interns work alongside editors from four journals (The EMBO Journal, EMBO reports, EMBO Molecular Medicine and Molecular Systems Biology) on specific publishing related projects at the EMBL/EMBO campus in Heidelberg, Germany. They will be able to experience the scientific editorial process, although they will not be assigned primary editorial responsibilities.

EMBO reports also offers internships for applicants interested in science writing / science journalism with the opportunity to contribute to the journal’s front half section.

Applicants should have completed a PhD in any discipline in the life sciences. The duration of the internship can range from one to three months.

Interns will be supported with a basic stipend.

There are two deadlines each year: 30 April and 31 October.

The cover letter should contain information about the purpose and intended duration of the internship. Applicants will be informed of the decision at the latest four weeks after the application deadline.
