Attendees at Athens practical course celebrate EMBO anniversary

The EMBO Practical Course “Bioinformatics and genomes analyses” took place on the 5-17 May at the Hellenic Pasteur Institute in Athens, Greece. The organizers of the course included Fredj Tekaia and Evie Melanitou of the Institut Pasteur Paris and Menelaos Manoussakis and Evdokia Karagouni of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute.


The main objectives of the course were to strengthen the skills of PhD students and young researchers in bioinformatics and genome data analyses, including the use of advanced fundamental algorithms and their applications to genome studies.


The organizers and attendees of the EMBO Practical Course “Bioinformatics and genomes analyses" held their own celebration of EMBO’s 50th anniversary which included a special cake featuring the EMBO anniversary logo.
